On Friday, at Yadaly Basic Cycle School in Farato (WCR) i made a presentation on the importance of Reading with my team members from Al Karaama Society under leadership of #AmirYayaSillah a renowned scholars. The theme of our campaign is "The Gambia, Read to Lead the World."
Alhamdulilah, Allah made it possible!
Grateful for His mercy, the support, and everyone who believed in this journey. This is just the beginning.

Fellow Ugandans and friends of Uganda!
Two months ago, Museveni yet again usurped the will of the people of Uganda and declared himself president on gunpoint. A day later, gripped by shame and fear, the military invaded my home to harm me, but I was able to evade them and go into hiding.
Over the past two months, the regime has looked for me everywhere. They have raided the homes of many colleagues and fellow leaders, mounted roadblocks and spot checks of vehicles and motorcycles, arrested and dismissed the police officers assigned to my campaign, raided our home in the village, and kept my home under siege. Well, they couldn't find me because the people of Uganda sheltered me and protected me.
Today, I am announcing my brief exit from the country to handle important work. Over the next few weeks, I will engage with our friends and allies all over the world before returning to Uganda to continue the push for freedom and democracy! For now, let's remain focused and united.

Unemployment hits differently when you’re a man. Family treats you differently. People lose respect for you. Nobody cares about you and what you say. Family is only nice when you have something to offer. Get up every day and fix your life. The world is very cruel to a poor man.
I am grateful that these detained young people come from diverse backgrounds, political parties and ethnicities. They represent all walks of life. Gambia must unite and flush this useless government. The struggle is not about the UDP or NPP, it is a fight for all Gambians!
Last evening at the National Unity Platform Headquarters, we were delighted to host our fasting Muslim brothers and sisters for Iftar dinner. We prayed and broke the fast together. It is always a blessing to do this every year, in solidarity with those who profess the Islamic faith. While appreciating them, I implored Muslims across the country to get much more involved in the struggle for a better country, knowing how much persecution they have endured under the present regime. All those who have been detained at CMI and other torture chambers come telling us that there are countless Muslims stuck in those places - some for as long as twenty years. We shall only be free when all of us are free. Wishing you all blessings in the remaining days of this holy month of Ramadan.
Today we witnessed the greatest region of our country disenfranchised by parliament, by voting against diaspora voting. However, I am proud to say that our caucus in its totality voted for the inclusion of the diaspora into our electoral process. History will be remembered!
Ending the year with this honor from Alliance Française de Banjul. Thank you for featuring me as one of the 12 women on their career achievements and stories . Here’s to the person I am becoming and the girls we wish to inspire 🎉

This evening as our President returned from Bulindo in Kira Municipality where he had gone to check on one of our lawyers, Musisi George, the police and military under the command of one Twesigye surrounded our vehicles and started firing live bullets, teargas canisters and other projectiles. In the process, our President #BobiWine who was clearly targeted was shot in the leg. He is currently being attended to by a team of medical doctors.
This is yet another attempt on the life of our President by the Museveni regime!
In July, Gambian activists stopped a ban on FGM being overturned in parliament. FGM survivor and UN Women Ambassador @JahaENDFGM says “we had to get survivors to… share their stories… I can’t believe I found myself in this fight nearly 12 years after I founded my organization.”
Almighty. Heal the wounds we’ve been keeping inside for too long. Grant us good patience to face whatever challenges You send our way. Grant a way out of our difficulties and keep us firm in faith.
