@yanisvaroufakis A policy to "open source everything" is a natural part of this initiative. Start with pharma by insisting the publicly funded research be done almost exclusively in open source.

The universities could start this, and should because it best supports their missions.

@MissShuganah Technically that region is "the East Side" Heqewisch is the whole section of Chicago south and east of the Calumet river. The boat yard is literally under the Skyway with part on each side. It's even called "Skyway Yacht Works"

I think this is particularly the case with what he categorizes as "iconic signs" In these cases the sign relates to the sign object in that it points by similarity, which would be this "in actual existence" matching.

@MatiosTV @DavidFAHoinski @MikeBenchCapon @Gregoresate I find little of deep interest in Skinner and the behaviorists. It really isn't related much to human cognition except from a development and evolutionary sense.

This types of learning do not depend at all on thinking, but mostly on proximity and relatedness of stimuli.

@MatiosTV @DavidFAHoinski @MikeBenchCapon @Gregoresate I'm not sure how Pierce people would think about this. He was looking more for a logical foundation for scientific investigations and was not so interested in biosemiotics. Not that he would object to this work but it wasn't his core interest.
