NEWS: HTC has worked with VR developer Nanome to distribute over 100 Vives across public libraries in California. Nanome is a studio that creates educational STEM software like CalcFlow. They believe introducing Vr to public libraries will inspire more people to join STEM fields.

TECH: HTC confirmed the Vive Wireless Adapter will be ready for production later this year after letting the public try the device at E3 last week. It will allow you to use your Vive or Vive pro untethered for an estimated three hours before needing a recharge.

TECH: Later this year Microsoft is rumored to announce Hololens 2, code-named project Sydney. Like it's predecessor, the device will be a standalone AR headset but version two is expected to have a wider field of view and lower price tag.

TECH: During I/O last weekend, Google released an update to ARCore (v1.2). Aside from improved compatibility for developers, what got a lot of attention was “Cloud Anchor”. This facilitates developers to create more sociable experiences such as multiplayer AR games and activities

NATURE: Facebook showcased an update on React 360 (a technology for WebVR and 360 content publisher) using cave exploration in Son Doong, Vietnam. This update will allow users to experience 360 videos straight on their feeds, no headset required.

NEWS: It is finally here. The Oculus Go (first standalone VR headset) shocked us: it is slick, quick, amazing super immersive speakers. It feels exactly the same as the Oculus Rift, but with no wires obviously. It is definitely worth checking it out.

TECH: Virtual Reality stole the spotlight at this year’s @Tribeca Film Festival. There were several VR activations at the event and this is becoming a trend. Toronto, LA, SXSW among others, are all making excellent use of VR activations.
