September 11, 2001: a day that started bright, but quickly became dark. Our world changed forever on that fateful Tuesday, & 23 years later we remember the innocent civilians who perished, the heroes who tried to save them, & the soldiers who went into war but never made it home.

On this day 80 years ago, 156,000 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy. 4,414 troops lost their lives, including 2,501 American soldiers.

We remember these incredible, humble heroes of D-Day who risked their lives and gave their lives.
