An amazing day for our school today as the Mayor of Westhoughton opened up our reading bus. Thank you to all the people that have helped to make this happen. We hope that children and families enjoy utilising our bus and that it promotes a love for reading. #TheGatesReading

Our Commando Joes challenge consisted of making a map of the continents using the equipment. The children really thought about the positioning and sizes of each content. #TheGates

Our new unit for History this term is The Ancient Greeks. We started the unit by recapping using timelines before taking part in a 'curiosity carousel' to explore images from the Ancient Greek era #TheGatesHistory

Swallows had a fantastic morning with a Lancashire cricket coach! We loved practising our bowling and then had great fun improving our batting skills through exciting drills. 🏏📷#TheGatesPE
