Early Years had a blast in PE today, after being set a challenge all about connection and collaboration, working together to transfer beanbags from hoop to hoop.
The parachute was then the perfect way to practice those active listening skills while having an absolute blast.
Our Nursery and Reception explorers have had a brilliant week learning all about minibeasts! 🦋🕷️
They hunted for bugs outside, designed habitats and even got a letter from Incy Wincy Spider! Plus, they loved observing real slugs and snails from Mrs. Eddisford’s allotment. 🐌🐞
Year 1 had a fantastic time at Fleetwood Museum, bringing their History topics to life! Our young historians got hands-on with real artefacts. They discovered what life was like for children long ago & compared the toys we play with now to older toys. 1B showed great curiosity!
Thank you to our local @LancsPolice PCSOs for delivering a knife crime workshop for our Year 5 & 6 pupils. At BGA, inclusion & personal development drive everything we do! We prepare our pupils for the real world by giving them the confidence to make positive, safe choices!
Year 3 had a wonderful afternoon visiting The Grundy Art Gallery. They went to view Claude Monet's - The Petit Bras of the Seine at Argenteuil (1872) which is only on public display until Saturday 13th June, on tour from the British Museum!

Year 6 had a fantastic end of term reward trip to the Arcade Club to celebrate all of their hard work during their recent SATs. They have shown such resilience & we are very proud of all they have achieved. @FCATrust
Well done to our most improved attenders of last half term. Prizes were given out to 100% attenders and those very close to that but these two superstars were awarded for their improvements last half term and the efforts they have been putting in every day. Well done! @FCATrust
EYFS had an exciting afternoon as part of their transport topic when Mrs Eddisford brought her campervan right onto the school grounds. They absolutely loved exploring inside, sitting in the seats and hearing all about her wonderful holiday adventures on the open road! 🚐✨
Well done to our prize winners of the day too, they were given Harry Potter letters when they modelled the school’s core values throughout the day. They then exchanged these for raffle tickets at the end of the day and got prizes in return.
So many fantastic photos from today, it really was such a wonderful day which the pupils (& staff) enjoyed so much. Thank you for writing the books which inspired our day @jk_rowling! @FCATrust@Literacy_Trust
What a day today celebrating Harry Potter Day as part of the National Year of Reading! Last night staff transformed school into Hogwarts and scenes from the book series! The children were in awe when they arrived this morning! @FCATrust
There were many activities but we started with a whole school gathering in the heart space during which Dumbledore addressed the school & set out the house challenges for the day! @FCATrust
There was some wonderful potion making taking place at Hogwarts today! The pupils then wrote up their recipes for their gruesome concoctions! @FCATrust
