hi hi! my birthday is coming to an end
i’m now 30
it’s time to reveal some stuff and reminisce
first off
i have no fucking idea how i got here.
shit. i didn’t even plan for a life past 17.
i got so fucking lucky with the viral stuff on twitter that it catapulted me to a position i absolutely was not ready for
but when you catch lightning on a bottle, you have to ride that wave as far as it can carry you.
i love pro wrestling and it has led me to finding who i am as a person. who i am now is intrinsically linked to my wrestling career and i am forever gonna be grateful for how far i’ve come with my growth as a person.
as a woman.
i have had major obstacles but ultimately i am my own worst enemy.
i hate so many things about me and i don’t think therapy would fix it because i have always felt undeserving of every good thing to ever come my way. yet through all of this, i was blessed with a supportive fan base, a great group of friends and most importantly, i was able to pursue my true passion.
i am fortunate beyond belief and i do not take my blessings for granted
nevertheless, i will never truly overcome my demons for i know that i secretly enjoy my suffering. it feels fitting and deserved. i wasn’t always a good person but with the responsibility of being a “role model” being thrust upon me, i’ve learned that the weight that comes with that is heavy and i need to take that responsibility very seriously.
i often tell people im not worthy of admiration.
i don’t do it to be humble, i say it because deep down i have self loathing that rivals that of the hatred that medusa had for poseidon. i do not feel worthy of where i stand. i do not say this to garner sympathy but rather to state how i view myself.
and still i persevere.
not to gain approval nor validation, but simply because i want to one day feel worthy of the praise thrown my way.
many who have met me in person can attest that i am either very out of place, weird, awkward, or downright unbearable with the amount of self-hatred that i wear on my sleeve. this is my cross to bear and i will carry it long after my career has concluded.
but despite it all, i’ve learned to accept my status. i’ve learned how to earn respect. i work on my craft meticulously in order to become undeniable when talks about my work in-ring are put against my notoriety.
and most importantly, i’m striving to love myself.
so here i am, officially out of my 20s. finding a life amidst two heartbreaks and a career and responsibility that feels far too heavy for me to carry.
i don’t want to give up. but i don’t want to be a hero.
i want to be me.
i want to overcome how much my failed romances have dictated my mental breakdowns. i want to learn how to navigate the intricate circumstances of my career that has been put upon me. i want to use my platform to stand up for my ideals as a trans woman of color in maga america and use my voice and my journey to inspire someone better than myself to make a larger impact than i ever could against the fascist machine.
and most importantly, i want to learn to shut the fuck up and enjoy the ride
so here’s to the next chapter.
may it be as fucking fun as the moments that came before.
and to my beloved… i want you to know.
you’re fucking missing out on a bad bitch.
