And no, Jamie, Trump didn’t put a 50% tariff on all Canadian trade. The new tariffs cover roughly 5% of Canada’s exports to the U.S.

You can argue tariffs are bad policy.

But pretending Canada is some helpless free-trade utopia being randomly attacked is nonsense.

Maybe spend less time insulting the President and more time asking why American politicians are so comfortable defending everybody else’s leverage over American producers.
