The Gaudreau Family Foundation honors the lives and legacies of John and Matty Gaudreau. It is guided by their spirit of kindness, compassion, and joy.

Washington Lake Park is a special place for the Gaudreau family, and now it holds one more tribute to John & Matty.
Thanks to the generosity of the Aliver Foundation, new outdoor AED equipment now stands in the park in honor of John & Matty Gaudreau.
John & Matty were always there for everyone else.
Now, the more than 100,000 people who visit Washington Lake Park each year, including every runner and walker who joins us for the Gaudreau Family 5K each spring, will have that same protection close by.
Thank you to the Aliver Foundation for helping carry forward John & Matty’s legacies of kindness and compassion in a way that could save a life. ❤️

This grant, and the work of our foundation, wouldn’t be possible without the Gaudreau Family 5K Run/Walk & Family Day and every single person who shows up to honor the lives and legacies of John & Matty.
This grant is proof of what our community makes possible.
Announcing our first-ever grant!
The Gaudreau Family Foundation is proud to award $50,213 to support the 2026 @usahockey Blind Classic, hosted by the @AtlanticDistr this November 20-22 in Voorhees, NJ - bringing together blind and visually impaired hockey players from across the nation.
“John & Matty believed hockey belonged to everyone, no matter who you were or where you came from. Supporting the USA Hockey Blind Classic was an easy decision, it’s a chance to grow the game they loved. We know John & Matty would be proud to see their names attached to something that opens doors for others,” – Jane, Guy, Kristen & Katie Gaudreau.
Thursday night, the ice at @HollydellIce was full of number 13 and number 21, on the back of every kid out there.
It was a night to remember and honor John and Matty, and to continue their legacies by growing the game they loved so much.
Seeing so many kids lace up for the first time, smiling and falling in love with the game, was everything we hoped for.
This program is just the beginning of the work the Gaudreau Family Foundation will do to honor John and Matty and support kids in the communities they loved.
Created in honor of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, the Gaudreau Family Foundation is launching a free learn-to-skate and learn-to-play youth hockey program that kicks off Thursday at Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell, N.J. — the same rink where the Gaudreau brothers, who died in August 2024 after being struck by an alleged drunk driver while riding bicycles near their childhood home, learned to skate and play the game themselves.
“We wanted to go back to what was important to them,” says their mother, Jane Gaudreau. “Guy came up with the idea.”
