Its usually people with a background in statistics/applied math, that cannot help but notice that blank-slatism is truly unsustainable as an empirical endeavor.

@ArtemisConsort Great point. Religions are probably false on a propositional level, but function as a prerequisite OS for getting large groups to cooperate long enough to build civilizations. They are "true" on a deeper level that requires using a proprietary definition of "truth".

Mmm. I think by female standards you are very low agreeableness. It expresses itself as a sterile, logical disposition. A lack of interest in just going along with things because they sound nice. An orientation towards accurate descriptions of reality. I am the same unfortunately. Very useful for self improvement and building maps of the world, less helpful when interfacing with the median person. I often feign agreement on load-bearing progressive assumptions irl to smooth things over.

I sometimes ask myself “do you want to be sociable, or descriptively accurate?”

For a shockingly high % of people, the point of communicating is not ‘saying/knowing correct things’; it’s belonging, acceptance and safety. It’s scented candles. It’s interior design.

Once you realise the person you are talking to is “one of them”, trying to accurately map the terrain becomes a negative EV move. They don’t use words in the way you do. The telos behind each word they speak is not aligned with ours.
