@cpgrabow@Aintropy So people who care about American mariners, shipyards and shipping companies don’t care about what’s good for the country? You sound like you care more about increasing corporate margins at the detriment of our country’s interests. #ColinGrabowIsASellout
.@SenatorWicker is right: the Jones Act is a national security mandate.
The Jones Act sustains the mariners, shipyards, and industrial capacity our military relies on.
That's why President Trump must lift the broad waiver and put American workers, American shipyards, and American strength FIRST.
1. Basically every developed economy has cabotage laws. Including China.
2. If you strike the Jones Act then America’s commercial maritime industry dies essentially overnight.
3. Foreign vessels will take their place and the USA will not have a commercial maritime industry.
If the Jones Act goes away, U.S. maritime collapses:
🌍 Foreign flags flood domestic routes
🏚️ Shipyards go dark
👷♀️ Jobs disappear
🔗 Supply chains outsourced
🛡️ National security undercut
Stop the waiver. @WhiteHouse@realDonaldTrump@JDVance
