राज्यसभा में विपक्ष के नेता के नेतृत्व में विभिन्न विपक्षी दलों ने नियम 267 के तहत सदन की सामान्य कार्यवाही स्थगित कर निम्नलिखित विषयों पर तत्काल चर्चा कराने के लिए नोटिस दिया है-

i. 20 जुलाई को शांतिपूर्ण छात्र प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ पुलिस द्वारा लाठीचार्ज, आंसू गैस, पेलेट गन, शॉक बैटन और वॉटर कैनन सहित अत्यधिक बल प्रयोग;

ii. 21 जुलाई को लोकसभा में विपक्ष के नेता तथा अन्य विपक्षी नेताओं के साथ पुलिसकर्मियों द्वारा धक्का-मुक्की, बदसलूकी और उन्हें सड़कों पर घसीटे जाने की घटना;

iii. छात्र आंदोलनों और पुलिस की बर्बरता पर प्रधानमंत्री और केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री की पूरी चुप्पी;

iv. केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री के पद पर बने रहने की उनकी लगातार जिद, जबकि उनके इस पद पर बने रहने की अयोग्यता के प्रमाण लगातार सामने आ रहे हैं;

v. शिक्षा और परीक्षा प्रणाली को लेकर देशभर के युवाओं में बढ़ती निराशा और हताशा।

राज्यसभा में जारी गतिरोध पूरी तरह इस वजह से है कि सरकार नियम 267 के तहत इन मुद्दों पर चर्चा कराने से लगातार इनकार कर रही है।

भारत के छात्र आख़िर माँग क्या कर रहे हैं?

सिर्फ़ यही ना, कि हम सालों साल मेहनत करते हैं , तो सरकार हमारा exam ठीक से करवा ले, हमारी कॉपी ठीक से जाँच ले!

इतनी सी माँग करने पर उन पर बेरहमी से लाठियाँ बरसायी गई और आँसू गैस के गोले छोड़े गए! मोदी ख़ुद की मेहनत की तो बेबुनियाद गुणगान करते रहते हैं, लेकिन छात्रों युवाओं की मेहनत पर यूँ ज़ुल्म करते हैं।

और जब नेता विपक्ष @RahulGandhi और कांग्रेस पार्टी ने उनके समर्थन में धरना दिया, तो उनके साथ भी पुलिस ने अत्याचार किया।

जब राहुल गांधी के नाक, हाथ और जिस्म पर चोट दी जा सकती है, जब उन्हें यूँ बेदर्दी से घसीटा जा सकता है कि उनका एक जूता कहीं निकल कर छूट जाये, जब @priyankagandhi के साथ पुरुष पुलिसकर्मी धक्केबाज़ी कर सकते हैं, तो फिर प्रदर्शन कर रहे बेचारे आम लड़के लड़कियों के साथ पुलिस कितनी निरंकुश हुई होगी? उन बच्चों, युवाओं के शरीर और मन पड़े घावों का हिसाब मोदी-शाह को देना ही होगा।
