@Spedley1 @implausibleblog The banking system collapsed in 2008 and has relied on liquidity created by central banks ever since. The overnight repo market is the plumbing that keeps the banks going. But Central Banks cannot keep it going for much longer. The US has been creating $1 Trillion every 100 days.

@Spedley1 @implausibleblog Absolutely Correct we should not conflate Money with Currency. New currency is created when commercial banks make loans. It may be a credit balance in a bank account but it’s a debt obligation elsewhere.

@WallStreetSilv Difficult to grasp at first but it is the diminishing value of “Debt based” currencies that manifests as shelf price increases. I’m in U.K but no longer use GBP preferring. instead #KinesisMoney. Prices are stable when you live life on a Gold Standard no CPI for us.
