@rtenews Heuston we have a problem : Combined, the total baseline compensation for Pieta’s top tier of management (the top 6–8 executives) sits at an aggregate of roughly €550,000 to €650,000 per annum.
Give to local charities who get nothing from Gov & dont have a greedy corp culture
@CWeston_Indo When i was young all we had was the ESB and Ireland was 100% reliant on oil and gas and we had the cheapest electricity in Europe. Then on the promise of more competition, choice & cheaper prices along came deregulation ala Electric Ireland, Energia etc and now we highest prices.
@NewstalkFM His party was wiped out at the election for its disastrous (green) tax policies, so he thinks peddling those same policies is a good way to get back into power. Read the room Rodders, yer gone forever thank God!
@IrishTimes One freak and suspicious win in a non descript constituancy in northern England and Rodders thinks the greens in Ireland are a dead cert in next elections. No party has done more damage to Ireland than the greens. Never again will they hold power. Extreme left lunatics.
@Nick_Delehanty And if you listen to or read the minutes of local county councils monthly meetings across the country, all you will hear in response to requests to build stuff or maintain stuff is "There is no budget available for that" . Where are the billions ? Squandered is where they are....
What is going on with the SNA cuts? 4 mths ago in the budget Gov were proud to announce funding for 1700 new SNA posts and here we are talking about cuts? If this was "budgeted" for just weeks ago, then where has the money gone????? This is cruel move by @irlgov#Ireland#stroke
@EmployRightsIE No licence, no insurance, no experience driving in Ireland and he gets off. If a student is in Ireland on a student visa, they do not need an employer to sponsor them. So it seems some kind of scam is happening here. I hope the guards dig deeper. Also his employer needs cuffs!
You wonder at what point do the energy companies decide they have too many ppl in arrears and its more costly to them to chase down that debt, rather than drop the prices so ppl can actually afford to pay their bills. Like wheres the tipping point where they'll act?
New data has revealed that 187,300 electricity customers now more than 90 days behind on their payments.
So we’re wondering: Does the cost of gas and electricity stop you from turning on the heat at home? https://t.co/iXxlmo4zJC
@EU_Commission I guess #Ireland will never have high speed rail according to EU. We would be happy with 150kmph speeds even! But not gonna happen it seems
@RailUsersIe Was lucky enough to be in Switzerland last week and enjoyed possibly the best train system in the world. They have leaves too, but nothing was delayed, I guess Irish leaves are special.... It goes to show whats possible when proper investment is put into rail.
@CosgroveNessa@labour@OceanFmIreland@shannonsidenews@SligoChampion Im not a Labour supporter, never was, never will be. But on this particular issue Nessa is right to call this out. We had catering in the 80s when Irl had no money, now we have yearly billion euro surpluses and we cant serve tea on a train. Even put in vending machines, anything!
@davidmcw@collision Something the vast majority of the country has known for years. FF/FFG, their expensive "Advisors" and the rest of them in Dail Eireann are in a bubble and refuse to change on anything. Its some legacy to be running the country for 10+ years and look at the state of the place!
@DarraghOBrienTD Denmark have several GW worth of wind projects either under construction or about to start. They also recently relaxed a law against nuclear so they can assess it. In short we are way behind our euro neighbours and we have much more untapped resources off our coasts than them.
@danobrien20 Yet @SimonHarrisTD is committing millions in aid & proposing more millions in rebuilding Gaza when a budget was dished out a week ago giving tax payers absolutely nothing. The US & mega rich neighbouring oil states should be coughing up, not Joe Murphy from Cavan! #ResignHarris
Top of the World!
Irish energy prices for households are the HIGHEST in the world (twice USA for example). And the differential between what private energy companies pay for energy and what they fleece households is the BIGGEST (3.0 compared to 2.1 in France) in the world.
