@sgtfilthy @AlexiLalas Yes it’s similar! FC Bayern opened an academy in San Diego. There’s a tryout process but if players make it it’s a fully funded residential academy. FC Bayern invests in youth development academies in the US and many MLS clubs are doing it. Just need to make it affordable!

@sgtfilthy @AlexiLalas European Clubs allow access to their youth academies for free. If a player does really well & is sold to another club, they receive the transfer fee & usually a percentage of future transfer fees. Most of these clubs reinvest the transfer fees to continue funding their academies.

Disgraceful way to go out. The team was numbed from the first whistle. Hopefully we will truthfully know how much they were affected by the noise. The world was full of praise for this team, and today the world celebrates its elimination. None of their doing, of course, and not fair for this group of players and coaches

@RockySbn 100% Need to strengthen the spine (CB, DM, GK) of the team. Richards, Jedi and Freeman (only 21) had bad games tonight but they are good players. Ream was a liability and got brutally exposed. Freese made good saves but a terrible error. You can’t leak goals in tournaments

@ZachLowy @manuelmezacfs I was impressed with the job he was able to do in two years being dealt a less than ideal hand. His man management is strong. Like you said tho haven’t beaten a better squad under him but I see the vision. I’m ok with him staying for a full cycle & seeing how he evolves the squad

Such a disappointing end to this World Cup for the #USMNT. To lose is one thing, but to play scared & deliver an error strewn performance is another.
