@alison_wonderz@ChrissaSJE Having kids is the only way any society could possibly avoid collapse. Why invert that premise and blame the people putting in the work?
@DevilDogofTexas@opinionwitchy@mysteriouskat My family is still working the same farm. We still live on it.
If you don't like consolidated power, you have to hate agricultural regulation and subsidies because they mean the same thing.
@DevilDogofTexas@opinionwitchy@mysteriouskat Do you think farms have not traditionally had homes on them? The idea of corporate socialized agriculture is a very modern progressive idea that wasn't pushed until the 40s
@DevilDogofTexas@opinionwitchy@mysteriouskat The 1/3 of farmers who outcompete by using every grant and subsidy finally have to compete and prices normalize.... As a farmer who refuses to join the socialized agriculture system, that would be amazing... It's also what our bill of rights demands.
@opinionwitchy@mysteriouskat How about we instead enforce our tenth amendment and abolish all laws on tasks without explicit constitutional enumeration?
@mysteriouskat We are supposed to live in an enumerated system of powers. That, like every law regulating agriculture production, blatantly violated our tenth amendment
