@singlecarbon@moonlight_ruri Yeah I think it was a normal day too. Especially since there were costumes from a wide variety of different games, shows, etc. Also that area is just a mall. There isn't a convention center nearby.

@singlecarbon@moonlight_ruri (2/2) If you go to cultural sites, you'll see a lot of people, mostly women, dressed in period appropriate clothing. Depending on where you are there are even shops to rent them. Of course you'll also see people taking wedding photos too. From the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.
@singlecarbon@moonlight_ruri (1/2) It depends. If you go to an anime type mall, you'll see a lot of people dressed up. In Guangzhou, by a subway exit near an anime mall, there are many people doing make up for cosplayers. I believe some are doing it as a job too.
