Two trans-identified males have been charged in the abuse and murder of a 7 year-old boy.

Kaitlin Evans, the boy's biological mother, was arrested alongside Kirby Rankin and Nessa Keaney, both men who have been reported as being women by media outlets, and who were living with her in a "co-parenting" situation.

The child, William Evans, was found dead in a closet and bound with duct tape.

Investigators say the boy had been abused for at least two months leading up to his death.

The boy was tortured by being held underwater, and had suffered burns.

He was said to have been living in such extreme isolation that neighbors didn't even know a child lived at the residence.

Local news reports from the Hamilton County courthouse have revealed that the boy's biological father is also a separate, as yet unnamed, trans-identified male.

These two images should be iconic. They tell the story. On the left: a young woman, who had been cheerful and happy, apparently on her way to visit a sick friend or relative. The two happen to cross paths and this is the aftermath.

For years now, our laws and institutions have dedicated themselves to protecting, coddling, and indulging the person on the right, often at the immediate expense of the person on the left. It was decided that the person on the right must be free, must be comfortable, must be cared for and fed and clothed, literally no matter what the cost.

A functional society organizes itself the opposite way. The priority is protecting the person on the left — the innocent woman (or child or man). The person on the right — the chronic, degenerate, dysfunctional criminal — is rightly seen as having no value to society, a net negative, and is thrown in a cage forever or simply executed. A functional society gives all the benefit, all the leeway, all the priority, to the person on left. But we don’t live in a functional society anymore.

I’m still trying to understand HOW this happened.

Jesse Mack Butler was accused of raping and strangling two girls — with one victim reportedly suffering injuries so severe she needed neck surgery.

He was facing up to 78 years behind bars.

Instead, Special Judge Susan Worthington and Judge Michael Kulling approved a rehabilitation plan that allowed Butler to walk free without serving a single day in prison.

Then the case was dismissed.

Two girls. Allegations this serious. One reportedly needing surgery. And NO prison time?

There has to be more to the legal reasoning here, because on its face, this makes absolutely no sense.
