I'm leaving twitter. Reason is that, across all of my four accounts, I've noticed an increase in troll-like behaviour. They're simply not fun; they're boring, and they dilute the frequency of fun/interesting interactions ... so yeah, I'm over it.
Bye
I'm so freakin' sick of elon, his flavour of business accumen, the effects of his strategies and while he has had a few cooll scifi-ish ideas, I find he is overal kinda tacky and dangerous for humanity. I'm outta here. RIP pre-Elon Twtter, it was great while it lasted
I’m a content creator spending a great deal of my time covering the LGBTQIA community on my own dime. I don’t have a full time job, and I live in a really expensive city.
Check out my work, and donate if you can. Sharing is caring.

Are we going to continue to allow ourselves to be the frogs in a pot? Data is now pointing to runaway global warming. What is Australia doing (because politics)? Approving new coal and gas. This is not only irresponsible, it is an existential threat to the future of our children.
"The science was like a heavy piece of statement jewelry. I needed to make sure I was wearing the jewelry, and not the other way around. The science always had to serve the story." @ygoldlove on science and fiction. https://t.co/2H7wZj1aFC
Norwegian nature photographer Thomas Mørch knows how to get the perfect moment: this backlit bird's plumage captured while in flight is simply awesome

Remember when Kevin Rudd tried to introduce the Minerals Resource Rent Tax and the mining companies spent millions in advertising, in coordination with the Abbott led opposition, to convince Australians that it would bankrupt our mining industry and cost jobs?
True beauty. These people are building our society. Genuine, concrete (hehe), direct, contribution. Without these people, planners and investors are useless.
@SimonInglis I hope you can fit some social life in there too. You have actually achieved a lot in the last year-or-so, when I think back. The book and taking care of your dad were huge.
@SimonInglis Yeah, your situation is hard right now, plus a hard stage of life when we farewell our parents. Since you're looking after your health - with the walks and swims - I see you have the personal resources (intelligence and health) to see a brighter future for yourself. Hang in there
@SimonInglis I'm sorry to hear that, mate. You've had a ton on your plate the last few years and you've been fighting a good fight to support your dad. I know its not all sorted out yet, but do make sure to rest and eat healthy and generally look after yourself first. I'm thinking of you.
Australia’s first national wellbeing framework is about better lining up our objectives for the economy with our objectives for society. See the full report here: https://t.co/CutFJC7pYH #auspol#ausecon
Want to know the difference between the Ancient Greeks and the Ancient Romans? Just look at their statues.
Art always tells you what a society wants to believe about itself.
So, from the Soviet Union to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, here's what art says about who we are...
Speaking of books being read to our children, I found another one that involves gratuitous violence & genocide, and explains to children they will be tortured for eternity by an all powerful supernatural being who can read their thoughts if they don't worship him.
Can we ban it?
