💞 Husband and Wife should be posted at the same place, says the Govt of India

But when it comes to BANKING, this rule mysteriously vanishes.

In banks, separation of husband and wife has become a routine punishment.
Not due to shortage of vacancies.
Not due to public interest.
But due to an inhuman, feudal mindset of higher management.

Bank officers are treated like machines, not human beings.
Families are broken. Children grow up without parents.
Spouses live hundreds of kilometres apart for YEARS silently suffering.

I challenge anyone:
Show me how many bankers are posted in the same district as their spouse. Because I have personally witnessed HUNDREDS of bankers forced to live apart.

This is not administration.
This is institutional cruelty.
This is sadistic control disguised as transfer policy.

If Central Ministries and PSUs can follow spousal posting, WHY ARE BANKS EXEMPT?

❓Can the Government make it MANDATORY for banks to follow DoPT spousal posting guidelines?
❓Or will bankers continue to be treated as disposable resources with no family life?

​Respected Sir,
​We are writing this to bring to your immediate attention a case of extreme professional insensitivity and alleged harassment that has put an officer’s life and his family’s survival at risk.
​Mr. Kumar Akash (6585876), Deputy Manager at Branch Zamania, is currently undergoing a severe personal crisis. His mother is battling Stage IV Liver Cancer at HCG Hospital, Bengaluru, and is currently in the ICU. Despite his desperate situation, he is facing the following systemic obstructions from RBO-3, Varanasi:
​Withholding of Earned Salary: Salary for the months of August, September, and October 2025 has not been released. Withholding earned wages during a life-and-death medical crisis is not only inhumane but a violation of basic labor rights.
​Targeted Obstruction: It is reported that the Regional Manager (Region-3, Varanasi) has explicitly instructed staff not to process any applications or requests from Mr. Akash. This has resulted in the summary rejection of a personal loan application intended for ICU expenses.
​Financial Distress: The employee has already exhausted over ₹40 Lakhs on treatment. The denial of "dependency" status based on a minor pension, while ignoring the catastrophic nature of cancer costs, shows a complete lack of the "human touch" SBI prides itself on.
​Failure of Grievance Redressal: Despite filing a formal harassment complaint (GRI202500091375) and receiving verbal assurances from the CM (HR) and DGM, no relief has been provided on the ground.
​Request for Intervention:
We request your office to intervene immediately to:
​Direct the immediate release of all pending salary and arrears.
​Approve an emergency medical advance or ensure the personal loan is processed without regional bias.
​Initiate an inquiry into the alleged harassment by the Regional Manager, RBO-3, Varanasi.
​This is a request for basic dignity and support for an employee who has given his service to this institution. If any untoward incident occurs due to the lack of funds, the responsibility will lie solely with the administration that blocked these legitimate requests.
