@thetimes Or we just stop developing AI as no one needs it? The bubble is bursting anyway and you're going to have to hire back everyone you fired soon so just start now
@Jaybcakes@mbaye_user220@DavidBrandyn I mean I've seen it lots first hand. Maybe it's just the circles we operate in ๐คท but either way, what's evident here is there are lots of silly expectations on people out there from all angles and this video isn't doing any shaming.
@Jaybcakes@mbaye_user220@DavidBrandyn There's a big pressure in the gay community to be strictly one or the other. The videos is about saying to people "it's okay if you're not :)" it's removing pressure; pressure that doesn't apply to us as we're not one or the other. That's good others and no skin if our nose :)
@Jaybcakes@mbaye_user220@DavidBrandyn That's not the point I'm making (or this video.) it's that that's the assumption of A. Straight people thinking that must be the dynamic and B. Gay people who clearly think that needs to be "the proper way". It's not that deep and it's just to take pressure if people who feel it
@Jaybcakes@mbaye_user220@DavidBrandyn If you fit into that/are strict top or bottom (I am a strict top for example) it's fine. It doesn't even mean we fit a heteronormative thing or see ourselves that way. The term is about assumptions, not lived experiences/identity. Think we're making similar points actually.
@mbaye_user220@DavidBrandyn I don't think there was any shame being thrown in this video friend. I think it's more just that the assumption of strict Top and Bottom comes from a heteronormative place rather than that there's anything wrong with it in reality.
@DavidBrandyn Thanks. There's definitely bottoms I meet who claim to be sub when they're actually 100% Dom. Whilst not for me I think (for bottoms) it comes from a place of shame or not feeling a top will want you if you're not sub. But like you say, someone will be right into it!
@b_w_nyc For some it can be against professional ethical codes etc. For example of you're a councillor, Doctor or lecturer and you came across a patient/student that can actually be very problematic. Also public facing figures etc. I still find it annoying but I also get it.
@erixfilming@twunkified That's not a good therapist there, haha. Sounds more like the bs self-help stuff. Good therapists would say "let's make some responsible decisions". But, saying open relationships are automatically problematic is also a "my feelings are valid" pov as well! Communication is key.
@DavidBrandyn Love this but your second point especially. I also feel if someone tells me "I'm open to anything" it's actually less exciting for me because it's like a friend saying "we can go anywhere today, you decide". Like help me narrow it down so I know we'll both enjoy it please!
@ThePornTwinks@SilasBrooksXXX I'm confused, so if someone pins you down and you're scared to speak up because of pressure or because of a threat etc then it's not rape because you didn't make it clear you weren't interested? Freeze response is very much a thing. Sounds like an argument a rapist would make.
@MatthwDayton Because it's based on a long list of things they've been taught to not be; The rules of masculinity aren't presented to men as "here's the best you can be", it's presented as "here's the worst thing you should avoid being" - i.e. it's not what to be, it's what not to be!
@let35828674@smokelessworld Clearly a spam bot. But Net Zero is needed because oil is running out and oil and gas always causes inflation (including right now) Immigration hugely boosts the economy and barely any get benefits. First point doesn't make sense. You've good English for a Russian though :)
@smokelessworld Well we get growth by spending it in the right places ๐ฌ on infrastructure and NHS and quality of living etc. that's just basic economics as it all leads to more jobs, better health meaning higher productivity and more spending by the public ๐ฌ cuts are always bad long term.
@DavidBrandyn Lots of spam comments here ๐ for a real grown up response I think it's an interesting point and I know I've felt similar if my race is brought into something and I get exactly what you mean because it becomes "so you wouldn't be attracted to me if...?" And that's not for me!
