This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.
FUNMAXXING
You never learned how to live. Nothing is serious. Talk to people. You can do anything. Tomorrow doesn’t exist. Don’t overthink. Just do it. Create things because why not. Seek novelty. Pursue eternal joy. Play for fun. Give yourself more credit. Be an example of what life can look like.
If you understood the absurdity of everything, your worries would fade, and you would come closer to achieving peace.
Balance is key.
You must learn how to make progress while still making time for fun.
@DoctorDad616 She was kinda useless, she told me to improve my diet and maybe go to a dietician and she thinks all of it can be solved by diet and exercise… ugh. I was pretty disappointed.
@DoctorDad616 Thank you, that is actually fantastic to know, I will bring that up to properly advocate for myself. My doctor thankfully listens really well 🙏 but she is a primary care doctor so she might not know that!
@DoctorDad616 My average glucose was at 126, so it was slightly higher than it’s supposed to be. So I’m thinking it is probably prediabetes? But My glucose tested at 104 that day. Dehydration for you makes sense.
Hateee inflammation ughhh. It’s the worst. RA and endo ruin meee
@DoctorDad616 I’m curious if that’s what my doctor will say? I’m not sure. I know I’m a mess from inflammation and always feel dehydrated. Lol. I’m seeing her today. My chronic pain has been soo bad lately.
It’s so much fun… gotta love how they betray us 🥲
@DoctorDad616 Iron is too low, apparently I likely have chronic disease anemia (I don’t have enough iron binding capacity)… and my hemoglobin is too high (I’m pre diabetic…likely from my hormonal issues)
I think one of the biggest revelations I've had in therapy so far is that when I try to check in on myself and ask how I'm feeling, I generally do not know (unless it is in the extremes). But I am ALWAYS sizing everyone up around me to see what kind of day they're having...
this also applies to those who have crossed paths for a short time and have never spoken since, whether with closure or with things left unsaid. their kindness still lingers in my mind and stays in my heart, leaving traces that continue to spread even today, like fairy dust.
