Britain has been in decline for decades, but the speed of the decline since the Covid era is visible. Streets are dirty; high street shops, pubs and restaurant closures everywhere; transport infrastructures are a mess; the cost of living essentials like energy, food, fuel and water have rocketed, petty surveillance cameras and fines everywhere; public services are a mess; highest tax burden in decades; national assets being destroyed and then sold off to foreign corporations.
You can feel it in the national psyche as well. Almost everyone I speak to feels downtrodden and fed up with so many things not working properly or costing too much.
It’s actually heartbreaking to see a country that is surrounded by so many natural assets and should be functioning well reduced to so many aspects that are rotting from within. And yet we have a bunch of politicians who are running our country into the ground and still the vast majority of people are grudgingly accepting this. The state of the country completely unacceptable and it’s time for everyone to do something about it. Find your cause. Set up campaigns. Get involved in local activism. Coordinate and partner with communities of people. Whatever it takes.
Ultimately, it’s up to all of us to actually try and do something about this. Because apathy is like a slow sleeping pill in society that enables bad governments to do very bad things.
🚨 A former migrant hotel employee lifts the lid:
Hotel rakes in £2M a year
Migrants choose iPhone or Samsung
£70 spending money on top of free meals, laundry & cleaned rooms
Knife found under pillow by housekeeping
Staff threatened over food choices
It looks like how far for Mister Meggit...
But it's the gallant Julius Des Pictons who springs a surprise in the @oddschecker Sefton Novices' Hurdle! @jamiesnowden
🚨BREAKING: Lake District ‘Mega-Mosque’ on the brink of collapse as multiple suppliers across the UK refuse
Something big is happening. British builders refuse to betray their country.
I was recently in Dubai & it shows what a scam the U.K. tax system has become Dubai: 5% VAT, 9% corporation tax, NO income tax U.K: 20% VAT, 25% corporation tax, 40%+ income tax, 15% N.I Dubai: Booming economy, clean, safe, thriving U.K. Failing economy, record crime levels, broken public services
In the U.K. tax is the penalty you pay for being productive In Dubai you are REWARDED & encouraged to be productive
Why?
