Good Read - The Mesob: Testament to the Artistry, Unity, and Grace of Eritrean Women; by Kidane Shimendi
*"...the Mesob anchors the time-honored cultural practice of communal dining; a tradition through which generations of Eritreans have fostered mutual respect, deep affection, and unbreakable social bonds. This practice of eating together from a single, shared platter is vibrant and alive across all nine of Eritrea’s ethnic groups, each possessing its own beautiful term for this focal point of hospitality: Tigrinya: Meadi (መኣዲ), Tigre: Metaagal, Saho: Maddi, Bilen: Meddira or Gbar, Kunama: Gonta or Nada Gonta, Nara: Gaan, Bidawyet (Hadendowa): Tooda, Afar: Galadda, Rashaida (Arabic): Maida".
*"...The Mesob is far more than a woven basket; it is a monument to the spirit of Eritrea. Through its captivating geometry, its rich national colors, and the nourishing meals served from its crown, it reflects the generosity, intellect, and love of the women who craft it. It is a magnificent testament to a national heritage engraved with beauty. Let us all honor, celebrate, and preserve the brilliant artistic legacy of Eritrea’s women".

JUNE 20 is a day we embrace memories of our heroines and heroes who fell in the all out political and armed struggle for freedom. エリトリア#Eritrea’s peace and stability stands on the invincible citizenship and sovereignty foundation built with their blood, sweat and tears shade by millions of its inhabitants in cities, towns and - from afar and near- villages.
@YemaneGirum Eritrea is too strong.. countries many times it’s size talk about its future day in and out. Let that sink in. Eritrea prevails against Al odds( sanctions, isolation, demonising, warfare of all forms, expulsion from swift )
Funny seeing PP cadres compare GERD to Eritrea's dams. Ethiopia: Has massive God-given water but people still suffer & depend on foreign aid. Eritrea: Built 100+ dams & 2,000+ micro-dams out of raindrops alone, rejecting aid. Big projects mean nothing without self-reliance.
Following his address, Mr Salih Abdella participated in lighting candles in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for Eritrea's future. The event also featured music and poetry reflecting the hardships Eritreans endured during the colonial period. The SMFC took this opportunity to encourage more Eritreans to "Sponsor a Martyr’s Family." Performances by Eritrean artists from London featured various national songs and those from the liberation struggle era, alongside poems that conveyed the values of our heritage to the younger generation. The youth choir also presented nationalist songs from the liberation period, evoking strong emotions among participants.
All your accusations are based on politically motivated agendas, including a hidden objective of regime change in Eritrea.
Neither you nor your successor will be able to visit Eritrea as long as you continue to pursue these baseless and biased agendas instead of engaging with 🇪🇷.
The Midas and Lycaon Curses: A Fatal Ambition
PP's reckless/irredentist agenda and incessant saber-rattling have stirred up a real hornets' nest in #Eritrea and the Horn of Africa Region as a whole. Insightful article that drives home this poignant fact.

Eritreans have zero tolerance for any attempt to undermine Eritrea’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Every inch of our land, airspace, and sea was liberated through decades of sacrifice and struggle. Our sovereignty was earned at a great cost—and it is not up for debate.
