The @ChicagoBears have an iconic lakeside venue, a historic franchise, a playoff team on the rise, and $70M in annual profit. Time to move to Hammond, Indiana, obviously. WTF?
The Bears clear more than $70M in profit a year. And yet they claim they can’t remain at Soldier Field because they don’t control enough revenue opportunities? Come on. How much more do you need? The whole premise of this Arlington Heights vs. Hammond situation is ludicrous.
@bqusdfkhri@GoetzItSold If they owned all that new stuff and had the new stadium revenues, this new tax bill would be more than offset. They simply want to make even more money than they already are. Greed, pure and simple.
@themodpun You act like the Bears are the only game in town. Plenty of other options and ways for people to spend money. You're talking about 8, maybe 9 games a year.
