Happy birthday, Ihuoma Nwam.
Exactly one year ago today, I experienced the most defining moment of my life...the day I birthed my son.
After seven long hours of intense labour, my body was weary and my heart began to tremble.

And then, in the midst of that storm of pain and endurance, came the sweetest cry; the sound of life, of victory, of promise. My son was born.
"See your baby" the midwife brought him to my chest and guess what? The face was the face of the baby I carried one time in my dream.
I dont know how, but those words became my strength. I held on to them, repeating them over and over, clinging to them like a lifeline. Each time I said them, courage returned, strength renewed, and I found myself pushing forward.
But then, something shifted. Out of the depths of my spirit, words rose up unbidden, like a light piercing through the darkness:
“Help is on the way; hope is not lost.”
The pain was overwhelming, and for a fleeting moment, fear crept in. I thought to myself, “Will I survive this?” The room felt heavy, the seconds dragged on, and the journey seemed too much for me to bear.
