I really like the D2vD3 matchup for the all star classic
It’s cool to see non-D1 guys get some recognition, I wouldn’t mind seeing a D2vD3 champ matchup every year… thoughts?
First commit in program history is on the board for 2025, who will be the first for 2024?!?!

Here’s what I would specifically do during the bye week:
1. Commit to starting Joey Porter Jr.
2. Commit to giving Keeanu Benton more snaps.
3. Move James Daniels to center (I’d also begin shopping for a center as well; should be high priority on the draft needs list heading into the 2024 draft).
4. Start Desmond King in the slot.
5. Commit to give Jaylen Warren more snaps than Najee Harris for the time being.
6. Cut Gunner Olszewski.
7. Involve Glenn Thomas and Mike Sullivan more heavily in the play calling.
8. DO. NOT. MAKE. ANY. IMPULSIVE. HIRES. OR. FIRES. —> this is the exact reason why they won’t hire or fire anybody until after the season, should it be warranted.
9. Sit down with Rooney, Austin, Canada and Kenny and vent your frustrations to make it known what is expected moving forward. Do not sit on this. The bye week is the IDEAL time to MAKE CERTAIN everyone is on the same page.
10. Look at implementing more 12 personnel sets and hurry up/no huddle offensive formations.
11. Look to bring in a competitive OT/IOL.
12. Sniff your nose in the trade market for a CB but don’t pull the trigger unless it’s a “can’t say no to” kind of deal.
13. Prepare to have back McFarland, Tae and MUUUUUTH.
A couple of thoughts on last night’s win against the Raiders:
1. Matt Canada. He was good. This doesn’t excuse him, but he called a good, efficient game outside of a few questionable calls.
2. Kenny Pickett. No one needed it more than him. He shook off the early game jitters, settled in and played very well. He looked comfortable, calm and in control. I’d love to see more utilization of Pickett’s legs and play action moving forward.
3. Pressley Harvin: He has played a big role in our last two wins. He’s pinning opposing offenses deep and giving our defense a chance to make plays.
4. Reliability of Chris Boswell. Will never take that for granted. He’s unbelievably good at kicking footballs. Best kicker in Steelers franchise history.
5. Keeanu Benton/DeMarvin Leal … special players.
• I would like to see more utilization of MUUUUUUUUTH.
• Would like to see Dan Moore moved to RT and Broderick Jones start at LT. It’s time.
• JPJ needs to start, but Levi Wallace got a much needed confidence boost. Will need to see it translate next Sunday, otherwise you need to let JPJ get repetitions.
It’s a very good win. Primetime television with the whole world watching. Way to take care of business, boys.
Enjoy yinz VICTORY MONDAY!
