When an hourly-pay client asks how long something will take, and I don’t know, I say:
“I know the idea of an open-ended bill is uncomfortable; how about I work on this for 1-2 hrs, then update you on my progress. We can repeat or pause as needed, you’re in control.”
It works.
@cmacreative12 Math has always been my favorite subject but it's been 9 years since i graduated high school and I haven't taken any math classes since. So we will see how much I like it now 😂
@cmacreative12 That is true, I'm definitely going into this open minded and hopeful that it will be something I enjoy. I also have MAT 110 this summer and its been a longggg time since I've done any serious math.
@cmacreative12 I got it this summer and idk how I feel about it yet. I just got my book so I've been looking over some of the material and playing around in Dreamweaver
Many freelancers don’t realize it, but, when you charge too little, good clients actually see it as a red flag. Think of shopping for cars and seeing an underpriced one — your first question is, “Why so cheap? What’s wrong with this one?”
@cmacreative12 @WTCCGDA I did pretty good, I definitely could have done better but there is always room for improvement. I'm just gonna work harder on developing my skills. Are you taking classes this summer?
@cmacreative12 Thanks! I was just noticing though when I'm looking at new job posts that many companies are saying that if follow up in any way, shape or form that you will not be considered for the position.
