@SidLifeboat Thank you to those who came to help me with a member of the public 'Bobby' today, others wanted to passby or judge him. initially being unable by to find help in a town 279 miles from home, it was lovely to eventually find some caring, non judgemental professionals
Today as my dad remains incredibly poorly in #MRI and needs all the care he can get, I still stand by the #JuniorDoctorsStrike over the next 5 days. They deserve so much more. Many assume they get 6 figure salaries- they don't- no where near.
🚨TOMORROW!🚨
Junior doctors are going back out on strike
If you’ve watched #BREATHTAKING this week, spare a thought for those same medics who put their lives at risk for us
Doctors who’ve not only been shunned by our government, but actively smeared by them
Who do you trust?
Our partner @Sharedhealthgm are hosting their annual Doctors in Deprivation Training Day on Thursday 27th June.
This is an excellent opportunity for any doctor that is looking to expand their knowledge of how poverty affects our populations health.
@SalfordUni unfortunately I've spend everyday since 30.02 at @MFT_MRI visiting my dad. Fortunately he's had some amazing @SalfordNurSoc students inc #TNA's looking out for him, raising concerns and escalating care. Real compassionate care with emotional intelligence.
@JoNewbigging Assumed I may have PTSD from this time... but its been, gone, locked away. Well it had been until I too tried several times to watch #BREATHTAKING - but can't. This does not feel like a drama... this is just flashbacks.
Stupidly after a not so good 3/52 I've tried 3x to watch @doctor_oxford#BREATHTAKING. As a community Palliative care nurse at the time I find this so triggering, & so difficult to watch. Makes me so upset, angry and nauseous re-living what most #NHS have put in pandoras box.
@wlasinclair@SalfordUni@AcpMmu Thank you! Seems a million years ago since starting @SalfordNurSoc. Clearly impired me along the nursing journey (BSc, Teaching at Bolton, MSc) PhD next 🤣
