Today I cook Pide, the famous baked Turkish flat bread that comes stuffed with a variety of toppings, including cheese, spiced meat and spinach.
I choose to make Kıymalı Pide: Topped with spiced, finely minced beef or lamb, often mixed with peppers, onions, and tomatoes.
Turkish pide is a traditional, boat-shaped flatbread often called "Turkish pizza" . Today I will cook this recipe from scratch and bake it in the traditional way at very high temperatures in a wood-fired oven.
