American animation will completely collapse if the wages become higher overseas than at home, and it really pisses me off when people defend this practice. Outsourcing is evil idgaf
That is to say, itd be nice if such collapse caused animation to rekindle in the land of the free
There's this one guy in an artist server I like who will make annoying comments about any culture you discuss by bringing up the bad parts from its history, i don't know what's the goal exactly but they made me really dislike using said server
There's this artist who draws fantastic inks but all they do is crossover fanart and it feels like sloppage, zero interest in making any tributes or original stuff.
Just endless content. It's pissin me off.
I just don't feel like it's mutual, is it because my art fucking blows. Is it because people keep my around because it'd be awkward to remove me from the group.
Is it that nothing I make is any good?
Really wish people would talk to me about stuff I make more (or ever), sure I hear that they "like" it but every time a conversation happens in vc about any story stuff. It's always someone else being asked about things.
Am I just incompatible with my friends?
Everyone's always happy to DM me pages and pages of lore and story plans and they always appreciate my feedback, but when it's my turn it's either 'cool' or crickets. No further discussion, no questions, no suggestions.
I felt like putting some music I used to like as a kid on, I put Sabaton's Union on and there's a bit of beauty in this naive belief that we had beaten all the bad guys back in 1945.
But they never left, they just went somewhere else.
I've made new ocs and shared them in some vcs, but it's a bit disheartening how they got almost no reaction
I'm sure this is just them being new and not established but Jasmine got a huge buzz when i first shown her and ughghhtff idk
@artdumbman Remember my irl who became a private teacher?
He failed high school.
It took him more than a year to recover mentally and apply to a high school for adults, then he went to uni and got his papers.
He since moved on to IT to build up his savings and live a little.
No wrong path
@artdumbman You gotta keep in mind that social media is at it's lowest point in history, a lot of our friends (and followers) don't check is as often. I saw a bit of growth at the beginning of bsky shift but it slowly went down nice.
Legit i feel like less people even use it anymore
