@tacolamp Would using a library like this be possible? I haven’t had the chance to look super far into it, but it seems like it might work well for this https://t.co/jF4s64yv2d
Happy New Year to those on the east coast! This year has been a rollercoaster overall, but personally I’ve had a lot of positive things to look back on. Hoping 2026 continues in that direction!
I’m really hoping to get more done with Poké Transporter GB- I’ve been working on a bug that popped up about a month ago that’s been killing me, but that’s how it goes. Language support and alternate transfer methods are still hopefully coming in the first few months of the year!
I totally get that it’s hard to scrub games of *all* of the data for the DLC, but this really sucks. Looking forward to the Switch 2 era where we can’t automatically leak everything the second the game drops- but that also means no unused data and all that cool stuff :/
Just finished ZA, and I gotta say- I did not expect to like it as much as I did!!
I *didn’t* appreciate that the Megas leaked beforehand, and I’ve already accidentally spoiled some of the DLC stuff for myself. Time to go MIA again until the DLC drops- woo see yall in February 🙃
I'm happy to announce that v1.2.0 of Poke Transporter GB has been released!!
This update fixes a lot of bugs and changes a lot on the back-end to prepare for language support and alternate conversion methods!

@Sgocnd That would be fantastic, I'd love that too! From what I understand, the next major thing being worked on for mGBA is a rework of the multiplayer system to allow for online capabilities

@VesDegree Poké Transporter GB is a program for the GBA that allows you to transfer Pokémon from Generation 1 and 2 to Generation 3, all with original hardware! If you’re interested, I have a full video about it that I released along with v1.0.0 last year! https://t.co/T1Zak4g5jr
@Sgocnd Unfortunately at the moment, there isn’t an emulator that allows connecting a GBA to a GB digitally. I’ve talked with the developers of mGBA about a solution, so hopefully we can figure something out!
A major part of this is the "Pokemon Community Conversion Standard" which is an open source library I created for different conversion methods. I'm really hoping this can be something the community can come together on and agree on these methods together!

Just a friendly reminder that I have moved to "bluer skies", and that if you want to see more of what I'm up to outside of Poké Transporter GB, feel free to follow me over there! My friend and I have a really cool project in the works relating to the GameBoy Camera 👀
Poké Transporter GB v1.1.1 has been released! This release fixes a handful of bugs and re-enables Pokémon Yellow (thanks to a new entry point found by @Timo_VM !).
With the 0xFE bug fixed and Yellow re-enabled, my focus has fully become adding in language compatibility
As always, save data backups are recommended when using the program since it is still in development. If you have any issues, comments, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me!
