I’ve reached that point where I miss home, but the thought of leaving this view makes me sad. It’s been a fantastic week and a much needed break.
Looking forward to getting home and getting my first piece together for @ATVShook!
Absolutely love my squad. Chad Jones and Todd Peterson were easy top picks for me.
Herman Johnson: largest baby ever born in Louisiana and was always a blast seeing him around BR when we were at LSU at the same time.
And then there was no way @whellmers4 could be excluded from cult hero, especially after that final UNC performance!
No one in the country recruits better than Coach O and now, it’s all he has to focus on.

Highlighting a trio of elite, championship-winning defensive line anchors:
Chad Lavalais (2000-03) - The Marksville, LA native put together one of the best seasons for an interior lineman in LSU history in 2003. The SEC Defensive Player of the Year and consensus All-American racked up 202 career tackles and 12 sacks, leading the Tigers to the 2003 National Championship before a multi-year NFL career.
Tyson Jackson (2004-08) - A dominant New Orleans product who teamed up with Glenn Dorsey to form one of the most intimidating defensive fronts in college football history. He recorded 122 tackles and 18.5 career sacks, won a national title in 2007, and was selected No. 3 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.
Bennie Logan (2009-12) - A fierce, hard-hitting defensive tackle out of Coushatta who finished his stellar career with 107 tackles and 5 sacks. He earned the distinct honor of wearing the legendary No. 18 jersey as a junior before being drafted in the third round and spending six seasons as a premier run-stopper in the league.

Highlighting two iconic forces of the defensive trenches who wore No. 94 with pride:
Anthony “Booger” McFarland (@ESPNBooger) (1995–98) - An absolute wrecking ball in the middle from Winnsboro, LA, McFarland finished his stellar career with 249 tackles and 17 sacks, earning first-team All-American honors in 1998. He was a first-round draft pick and won two Super Bowl rings with Tampa Bay and Indianapolis. He is now a prominent NFL analyst.
Marquise Hill (2001–03) - The New Orleans native was a dominant, towering force on the edge of LSU’s 2003 National Championship team. He recorded 108 tackles and 10 sacks, including a crucial one against Oklahoma in the title game. Hill was drafted by the New England Patriots and earned a Super Bowl ring in Super Bowl XXXIX. He passed away in May 2007 in a jet ski accident on Lake Pontchartrain, but not before an act of extraordinary courage: he kept his friend calm in the water until she could reach a buoy, saving her life.

Highlighting two championship-winning Tigers who locked down the middle of the defensive front in No. 97:
Al Woods (2006-09) • The Elton, LA native arrived as an elite tackle recruit, won it all in ’07, and started every game as a senior before spending over a decade in the NFL.
Glen Logan (@glen_logan97) (2016-21) • A 5-year letterman and 4-year starter out of Destrehan, LA. Massive piece of that ‘19 National Championship D-Line.
97 by the numbers:
Billy Cannon sparked a win against Texas Tech in 1957 by taking a kickoff back exactly 97 yards for a TD.
Joe Burrow’s 2019 season shattered the NCAA single-season passer efficiency rating, finishing at an absurd 201.97.

The Athletics are calling up Gage Jump, one of the best left-handed pitching prospects in baseball, sources tell ESPN. Jump, 23, runs his fastball up to 97 and has struck out 56 in 38 innings at AAA. He was part of what's shaping up to be a very interesting draft class in 2024.
