I've been sitting on a Flash to ToonBoom tutorial for a long time that I haven't had the time to finish that I was going to paywall for a time but with adobe announcing the end of support for animate, I'll be releasing it on my second channel completely free

@freddieelsom BET. Adobe charged me a higher yearly renewal purely because I didn’t want their crappy AI firefly add-on. 🥴 Customer service is hellbent to sell it.

100% Terrible precedent. Many productions are deeply entrenched not just in Animate, but the entire Adobe ecosystem. Why would professionals continue to commit to software that can be pulled with little notice and no alternative? Can’t even buy it standalone. 😤

There are active and planned TV productions built around an Adobe Animate pipeline. Seems like an attempt from Adobe to limit options for animators and studios to encourage them to use the AI products they've been pushing so heavily.

Here's the anim bible I made for the Dragon Ball sequence in The Synthesis. It was so fun collecting prod art & references to analyse. The animators did a great job staying true to that early DB style and working with the amazing char sheets & poses from the design team. #twwwog
