SHA has not been replaced. The confusion is understandable, but the two things are not the same.

SHA is still the Social Health Authority, the body that took over from NHIF. It registers members, contracts hospitals, and pays claims. That role has not moved.

What changed is the system hospitals use to talk to SHA. The old Provider Portal is being phased out. Since 29 June, Level 4 public hospitals submit new claims through Taifa Care HMIS, and facilities are now required to run a certified Health Management Information System if they want to stay on SHA contracts.
