There is a beautiful variance in the different patterns that were used to decorate these rice bowls. Many traditional motifs can be seen that are still used on Japanese dishware today.

Sigidimnak Nox Ts’aawit (Dr. Amy Parent) with @sfueducation visited Scotland and it was the first time anyone in the family had seen the memorial pole in more than 90 years. The Ni’isjoohl memorial pole will be the first totem pole successfully repatriated from the U.K.
We’re pleased to announce that National Museums Scotland will be transferring the House of Ni'isjoohl Memorial Pole to the Nisga’a Nation.
A Nisga’a delegation visited us in August to see the Pole and to make a formal request for its return.
