Or u know, just record in hybrid mp4. Recording process is done in mkv for anti corruption measures and the final output remuxes to mp4 without duping the file

You use OBS but did you know about this OBS feature?

You can convert massive files to .mp4 in like 30 seconds (this sounds gimmicky but its just a feature I just found out about that is EXTREMELY helpful!)
