@ThrillaRilla369 That would be a dream for me. A clean house, afternoons cooking a nice supper for everyone, laundry always done and not being exhausted trying to keep up with work, kids and chores. Unfortunately, it is only a dream because life is expensive and bills need to be paid.

This poor dog was dumped about two weeks ago, and he is still here… just surviving one day at a time. 💔

He is incredibly sweet every time I stop to feed him, but sadly he is living in the bushes, trying to shelter from all this rain. 😞

The day he was dumped, someone poured used motor oil all over him—as if that was a blessing for his new life in the dumping grounds. 💔 I have already given him NexGard, but there hasn’t been much improvement yet. 😔

No dog deserves this.

Please share, tag rescues, fosters, and anyone who may be able to help. He desperately needs a solid plan before his luck runs out. 🙏🏽🐾

“I think what’s destroying me about Autograph is that she really tried. 💔

Some dogs shut down in the shelter.
Some stop looking at people.
Some stop hoping.
But not her.
This baby girl has spent almost a year at DeKalb still getting excited to go outside, still letting people love on her, still acting like maybe the next person could finally be her person.
And every single time, she gets let down.
A man has been taking her out constantly for Dog for the Day, trying SO hard to help her. Giving her breaks, taking pictures, posting her, trying to convince people she matters.
And she still comes back every time.
Back to the kennel.
Back to the noise.
Back to another night alone.

You can see all the scars on her body and tell this dog did not come from a good life before the shelter either. Humans have failed her over and over and over again, and somehow she is STILL sweet.
I was trying to emotionally take a break from posting and volunteering for another week, but I had to try for her.
She is such a sweet girl and belongs in a home.
She is only 3 yo & 50 lbs.
She is only on the euthanasia list for space & I am sure length of stay. Autograph has done well in social settings and loves all people. She would do best with slow intros with another calm dog due to her past. I tried to post her last thanksgiving and Christmas - no one came. Not one application. 💔 This is one of the pictures I took then. ☹️

Her deadline is tonight at 7 pm, I hate she could leave us still believing someone was eventually coming for her.

Euthanasia time is approaching. 🚨
If you can foster or adopt her- please come directly to the shelter.
