So my colleague’s been talking about this place for weeks. “You have to try it,” she kept saying. I finally gave in this evening.

We walk into Geele Cafe not expecting much; small, unassuming, tucked away. She orders their honey glazed chicken and fries (apparently their signature). I go with butter chicken and pitta bread, mostly out of curiosity.

First bite in and I already knew why she wouldn’t stop talking about it. Everything came out hot, fresh, clearly made with care. We ate like it was our last meal.

Then the bill came. Under 1,300. For both of us. I checked twice.

I found the owner before we left and told him straight up, “This needs to be on Twitter, people have no idea what they’re missing.” Consider this me making good on that.
