UR4P people. One of our comrades @GeertsJay is premiering his short film at this event. Get your tickets, spread the word, invest in artists and art that keep our eyes on #genocide and our focus on linking and fighting local-global injustices. ✊🏼
Weeks after denying Palestinian Member of @Europarl_EN@RimaHas into Canada, Canadian government denies entry to the Palestine Football Association — despite being full members of @FIFAcom
What does it mean to recognize a state, when you actively deny its people?
BREAKING: Organizers End Giller Prize Boycott, Say Demands Have Been Met
The embattled literary organization is no longer sponsored by Scotiabank, Indigo or the Azrieli Foundation. By @rdassaly. https://t.co/9rq3NEGnd3
White phosphorus was used to burn more than 2,000 hectares (4,940 acres) of southern Lebanese countryside, “including 873 hectares of dense forest with gum trees and vast areas covered with oak and pine trees.” https://t.co/fMxN7WhWYQ
📣 @fordnation the average person wants to know why and how our public resources are going to line the pockets of your friends instead of into services for our communities.
The fact that you’re fighting more against FOI than for the average Ontarian tells us how important these records are.
Thank you to the reporters who keep pushing for accountability.
There is a lot of rhetoric about trying to ban the Al-Quds Day march this weekend in Toronto.
@TorontoPolice routinely protect white supremacist marches citing people’s “right to protest”, even if others disagree with their “cause”. These protests include calls for ICE style violence against our communities.
Al-Quds Day marches have been happening in Toronto for decades with no major security incidents to my knowledge.
We have a right to march the streets and call for a #FreePalestine.

Over 1/3 of the Toronto Film Critics Association has already resigned over this racism.
Imagine censoring Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, an Indigenous woman, for saying “I just want to say that my heart continues to be with the people of Palestine who are experiencing this ongoing genocide and thank you to anyone in this industry who's been brave enough to say anything.”
I bet they opened with a land acknowledgement too.
This short documentary is part of an ongoing series featuring healthcare workers reflecting on their experiences advocating for Palestine amid an ongoing genocide.
There is no ceasefire.

In "We Are Not Safe", Suzan, a Palestinian doctor living in Canada, reflects on a life shaped by displacement, grief, and survival. She confronts the trauma of Gaza, the silence of medical institutions, and the personal cost of speaking out,
A perfect example of shooting the messenger by @SaeidVafa — who seemingly can’t read. Israel’s ministers and media SAY THEY have a hand in what is going on in Iran. But Saeid wants to blame me for pointing to it, instead of questioning why Israel says that. It’s so telling.
Following our complaint against genocide inciter and war criminal Guy Hochman, he was detained and interrogated for six hours, released only after diplomatic intervention by Israel, had his Canadian visa revoked, and saw multiple scheduled appearances cancelled. While this does not yet constitute justice, it represents an initial step toward accountability.
Record breaking snowfall and the Science Centre roof is fine.
In 2024, Ford closed the OSC.
He said the roof needed repair, but the Auditor General found Conservative emails saying they closed it to distract from the environmental destruction & waste of taxpayer dollars at Ontario Place.

NEW: I compiled a list of 27 Canadian journalists who have gone on sponsored Israel trips organized by a Zionist group whose co-founder previously worked for an Israeli intelligence firm.
The list includes some of Canadian media’s most-senior editors.

UPDATE: Former IDF soldier Guy Hochman reports he has now been barred from future travel to Canada following formal complaint filed by CLAIHR along with @HindRFoundation and @LCPal_ca: “I got a letter from Canada that my visa is over and revoked.”
The Ontario Science Centre’s roof didn’t buckle under the weight of all the snow that fell today in Toronto. The engineer’s report that was used as an excuse to close it recommended repairs but not a shut down. The government shut it down anyway.
When sidewalks aren’t cleared, accessibility disappears.
Storms don’t create this problem, they expose a city designed without disabled people in mind.
Instead of expanding care, the city relies on encampment destruction, policing the houseless communities and their allies as well as continuing to bloat an already failing system.
