A big brood of Greylag goslings at Thames Valley Park, Reading. Dad had just been having a splashy wash in the river and in the last picture he is flapping his wings to dry them. He must seem very big and strong to his goslings

Thames Valley Park, Reading
Yesterday I saw a brood of 12 Canada goslings, by far the largest family I’ve encountered this year. The parents were very alert.
River Thames in Reading.
