At a time when the world is facing challenges due to the impact of the West Asia crisis, the Union Government under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji has reduced central excise duty on petrol and diesel for domestic consumption by ₹10 per litre each, safeguarding Indian citizens from rising costs.

The Government has also imposed duties on exports of diesel at ₹21.5 per litre and on ATF at ₹29.5 per litre to ensure adequate availability for domestic use.

But India managed the situation in a way that ensured both availability and a controlled impact for common households.

* Strong diplomacy ensured a steady supply

* Efficient refining kept supply smooth

Under UPA, when global energy prices rose, the burden fell on common people.

Data reveals that even developed countries, amid war escalations, saw petrol and diesel prices spike. But India remained largely unaffected.

Because the Modi government doesn’t wait for a calamity to happen; it works ahead of time.

Oil was sourced from multiple countries, reserves were built in advance, and steps were taken early so that the common man would not feel the shock.
