Average velocity is not way up, AJ Burnett had as live an arm as any man alive. The tech specs of HOW it’s measured has changed dramatically. No big deal but what HAS changed is hitters approaches, hitters don’t care if they K, that’s insane to me.

VERY simple answer. The money dictates how players play and act. If pitchers got paid based on BB/9 velocity would drop dramatically. Hitters are getting paid, part of the reason, for exit velocity. That’s insane
