Our final nomination goes to:
✨ All of our overseas Radiographers
We have had a large number of overseas educated Radiographers join us in the department over the last few years, and they are incredibly valued within the team. They are all extremely hard working, and flexible in their approach to providing the best care possible for our patients.
A big thank you to you all for your tireless efforts and exemplary contributions to our healthcare community! 🙌
The SoR has responded to figures obtained by Labour, which suggest the NHS spent £1.1bn on outsourced scanning despite scan volume falling. Read more to find out about the 'huge financial costs' of outsourcing imaging 👉 https://t.co/FOrL39mtRk

If we want to build learning systems for improvement, we must encourage our teams to be curious. A culture of curiosity leads to psychological safety, experimentation & problem solving. Yet a recent large study found most leaders regard curious people as "insubordinate" & like them less than people who don't question things. However, curious people who are politically skilled are liked & supported by their leaders. Lessons for leaders AND change agents here. Change agents: how do we express our curiosity in constructive ways, asking the right questions at the right time? https://t.co/EdScd2ixev By @OUOBProf
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.

No better way to say thank you to our @gloshospitals diagnostic radiographers on WorldRadiograpyDay than by delivering chocolates because our AHPs have been awesome at filling in the staff survey #WRD
Happy World Radiography Day to all of my fellow Rad friends far and wide! Super proud to work with of all of my Radiology colleagues at @gloshospitals

Imagine what we could do if were each other’s cheerleaders, supporters and encouragers instead of competing, comparing & pull each other down
It’s why leadership is so important to set the right culture, attitude & expectations
Dear #NHS Managers,
How are you holding up?
There’s so much you do
I drew just a few
How do you make it all fit?
Order, organise & sort it all out?
The booking, calling & planning
The juggling, creating & finding
You are the glue
We see what you do
And to us, you matter too
From next Monday we will be offering all staff a 50% discount on meals as well as free hot drinks, water, porridge and soup. We hope this will be a small but welcome gesture to all of our staff in current pressures. Thank you to our wonderful @GMS_facilities Catering team too!
For those who don't fully understand what is up with the NHS, here is a thread for you that might help.
I'm a consultant physician working as a doctor in the NHS in Yorkshire and Wales for 32 years now. I have experienced the NHS at its best (2008) and its worst (2022).
