Two images, two stories.
The first taken years ago to commemorate my first big adventure in the sea that was truly mine.
The second taken today as I finally purchased my dream Galleon, The Party Boat. Earned my coveted curse, hat, legend... So many achievements and adventures.
I don't make a lot of posts lately due to an overwhelming work life, but I recently set up my profile on bluesky. Im migrating towards there as the environment is (so far) much less mentally toxic.

@EldritchGrandpa Move slow. If it's a fast movement world tap the stick and just move slower.
Turn brightness down as much as you can.
When you visit with friends, choose somewhere that you can just sit and be there with them.
My experiences on vrc are generally preferred as being stationary.
@GreenMage39 My theory was that red is just sitting there making the phone noises and soon blue is going to find out.
I hope your story starts with when you went to space lol
@WATR_HQ Has this talk with dad because locally they were going to ban cells this school year for distraction reasons. Sadly they need them for emergencies.
@WATR_HQ At my last job I got gas'd by the numpad. It was not touch screen but I was too fast for it and the program would drop numbers. Current job takes ALL my keystrokes at no delay.
@WATR_HQ@sixtyemeralds I VR from the safety of my bed. This is a bit of why. It's okay to VR sitting down when you need to ^^; I still find it just as immersive.
@amae_612 @hashjenni My previous job when they tried to enforce this crap, I called my doc office on the clock to send a memo to my primary. I had a faxed note within an hour. The front office was open facing all cashiers. They all saw it live. It was that easy (for me that day).
Example was set.
@hashjenni Another hot take:
Customer - "it's so great that they let you sit"
Cashier - "They don't. It required a doctor's note."
Customer - "They fucking what"
3 cashiers at once sitting. All 3 confirm an injury with doc note was REQUIRED.
Customer leaves pissed.
At least 1 per week.
@Riseces@hashjenni Serious suggestion: try applying for career changing jobs right now. They took me more seriously at interviews when the change was for both mental and physical health improvement. An employer who will treat you better will not overlook you for it. Might weed out the crap ones too
@Riseces@hashjenni 5 months in on this battle to heal it. Finally got hired into a desk job that pays 100% better, solid consistent schedule, and benefits. I hope yours starts to improve, this pain has been unbearable.
@hashjenni Now we fight over who gets the tall stool. By the end of a shift it hurts our back and rotator cuff due to reaching and horrid ergonomics. A supervisor made me give up the other stool an hour into my shift the other day for a cashier working 4 hours vs my 8, and I work more days.
@hashjenni Almost forgot. FIRST THREE MONTHS we had one stool and 3-4 people with doctors note injuries requiring stools. This shuffle made me feel horrid when I had to ask for one arriving for my shift midday and having to wait till evening for availability.
