What separates a TIA from a stroke?

Time. ⌛

If the symptoms last a short time and the blockage in your brain is temporary, you had a TIA (or mini-stroke), if the blockage is not temporary and the symptoms last a lot longer, you had a stroke.

Even during the strikes - stroke requires an emergency response. If you see the signs of stroke, you must continue to Act FAST and call 999. It's the best way to get the right support. You should follow advice from the operator who are best placed to advise you.
