@HMRCcustomers I registered for self employment for this year and just got my taxpayer reference. (Hooray) I then got a letter to say I need to file my tax return for last year but I wasn’t self employed in that year. What do I do? Don’t want to get fined

@HMRCcustomers this year I became self employed and have money to claim in the self assessment form, over this time I registered as supply at a school that has to go through the books so now I don’t know how to submit a self assessment form as online it says I’m employed! Help!

@HMRCcustomers After research I think I had to sign up again as didn’t file one last year, so hopefully I’ve done it right and will get a Utr in post?

@HMRCcustomers I started in feb 2023 so didn’t have anything to file for 22/23 year. Want to make sure I have set up for 23/24 year

@HMRCcustomers Yes, I’ve got a government gateway user- but when I click on pay as you earn it comes up as current employment on the school and no where to file anything else
