@SLou1967 @Layo_FH Actually you can now take out 40 year mortgages to make monthly payments more affordable. I'm 43 and was advised several times to take out a 30 year mortgage... which would take me well past retirement age

My ISA is old & v low interest so I went into @HalifaxBank. Apparently savings accts can only be transferred using mobile banking app (not online or in bank). The clerk offered to do it for me, but I had to use my mobile (and no storage on it so i'd have to delete stuff). True?

It was bad enough getting stuck with 70 rainbows, brownies, guides and rangers for 2 hours in Ely when our coach broke down after the Panto trip- can't imagine keeping smiley and calm for this long

Listened to teacher on Radio4 PM stuck with entire Year 5 in Spain after Heathrow disruption. Her verve and calmness, the way she was making it an adventure for the kids (who will now journey for 24 hours by coach and ferry) was a classic example of why teachers are ace.
