@DanCrenshawTX Ramen? You sissy Republicans don't know what it's like to go outside and forage for grubs and berries while being stalked by a pack of hyenas. The primordial forces don't care what the market thinks. Are you a farmer or a hunter-gatherer capable of handling his own shit?
I got two gnome related things on twitter when I think I said something about gnomes. I didn't search for gnomes, I didn't type "gnome" into any device I just said gnome and laughed. I think my phone is listening to me and suggested gnome related content.
@DuceOwen@Manhattva This dipshit can point to California's Delta Conveyance Project, which would cost about $6 billion dollars for just 45 miles. Explain how tunnels solve the issue of still moving water UP because apparently knowing what gravity is and that rocks are hard qualifies me as a retard.
@PhillipKochan@Manhattva Not really. Hydroelectric dams don't ignore conservation of energy. You can recover some of the potential energy. You can't recover friction, loss, or most of the energy kept in water that is 4000ft higher than it started. Recovering 30+TWh from this is wishful thinking homie.
@DridgeArmijo@Manhattva Maybe you could lift all of that water with all the work "just" is doing in your claim:

Missouri to Colorado needs over 700MW to move 600k acre feet a year, not including total project cost. Scale that to 4.7 million acre-feet and pump it further.
@cny4me They were privately owned stores that shut down after a run of bad luck. Imoutodaughterwife understands that Pareto efficient systems don't always maximize social benefit and we should take things like the Bergson-Samuelson SWF into account, or in other words, "bee nise".
@Manhattva Kind of getting into Whataboutism. The cost/benefit of building HSR some places is a different beast altogether than saying we should lift 4.7 million acre-feet of water across hundreds of miles and thousands of feet of elevation.
@Manhattva China's South-North water transfers are a similar story. The South has water and the North doesn't. The South has mountains, and the North doesn't. Doing this for the American West would flip it because you have to permanently move water up and not down.
@Manhattva Yep! It would only take +60 TWh/yr, hundreds of billions to build, and billions a year in upkeep to climb the Rockies and dump all that water as potential energy. Did you forget gravity works one way? Alaskaβs pipeline works because its start and end are roughly the same level.
This is proof that twitter "Christians" know nothing about their supposed faith. It's just cool because it looks like WH40k. I doubt this guy could tell us what the Pharisee and the Publican was about. There are no weightier matters, just stage props to beat your enemies with.
The best logical fallacy to give an atheist when discussing morals is to ask them why it's morally wrong to have intercourse with roadkill
It's dead it will not feel anything, nobody will know and there are no victims
If you ask a Christian or Buddhist why it's morally wrong, they will tell you it's because the body retains inherent dignity as part of God's creation (or the sacred flow of life), and desecrating it violates divine/natural order, harms your soul/karma, and shows disrespect, even if no one feels it or knows
An atheistic worldview of this question taken to its extreme, concludes that intercourse with roadkill is tantamount to masturbation and nothing more
@Utahfarmersorg1 Brother, those half acre lots would be 100,000 acres with no roads or anything. You want to build an entire SLC metro... where? The salt flats? By a pumpjack 30 miles out of Vernal? Oklahoma is flat. Every post you start with a real complaint and then say something crazy.
