Not crazy. Instead it is the realization that none of what you may wish to share will make any sense at all without the necessary background and foundational information.
And acquiring that cannot be done in a short conversation, or even a protracted one. It must be EARNED.
And that's the rub.
Most are either ill-equipped or simply unwilling to engage the amount of effort it takes to decipher all that you may know or presently understand โ not merely the broad strokes but the NUANCE and texture of what you know ...
And that is the great divide between the kind of insight and knowledge that can grant you some personal sovereignty and agency and the bliss of ignorance.
I totally agree with you and your comparison. The color version felt like the old "Colorized" Black and White movies that Ted Turner converted back in the 80s for TMC and TBS.
The color was actually DISTRACTING!
I switched it immediately to B&W and suddenly some stress I wasn't aware of disappeared. This show SHOULD be watched in B&W. After all, when the character is introduced in Into The Spiderverse, he's intentionally B&W and there is dialogue where he's completely unaware that color even EXISTS (like when he's holding the Rubix Cube).
For that reason alone I felt B&W was the ONLY way to fully immerse oneself in the genre and "Feel" of Spider's Universe. But add in the garish colorization and there is no question about it.
And strangely, the fights hit harder in B&W. ๐ค๐
@StarWarsDaily_ I love the "Darth Jar Jar" idea. I think he could have been the TRUE Phantom Menace ... a power that even Palpatine was unaware of ... like the Sisters and Mother Talzin; a completely unique and different power. ๐ค๐๐
Well, I've seen this meme with Sentry constantly trashing the competition ... but today, I figured the man had to be put down.
Thought Supernova from Rick and Morty might do, but you were right (an earlier post). But then I thought of Doctor Manhattan and I was like "Hmmm, how's he gonna beat someone who can see his timeline from start to finish, let alone his prime-causality manipulation of things down to the smallest part.
@Grok what if you throw in Supernova from Rick and Morty?
Supernova from "Rick and Morty" possesses powers that include gravity manipulation, matter manipulation, and energy manipulation, which allow her to unleash devastating attacks, potentially comparable to the power of a million exploding stars.
So now what would happen? ๐ค๐คจ๐๐
Yup. Probably one of the most intensely frustrating and poorly written characters of the entire series.
Sadly, since most of these writers are not of "Genius" level intelligence, they have an extremely difficult time writing how a truly intelligent person would act. And so we get a "Sister Sage" in one form or another being nerfed due to lack of genuine imagination.
It's clear that in The Boys, the writers failed to learn one of the core principles of writing fiction: write what you know. If you don't know, nor can imagine someone who is super intelligent (as their super power), don't write them into the narrative.
@daniel_hacks_it@grok@NoahsArk1000 It's "Them" using the flicker as a "Flash" so that they can take you picture while reading the post ... ๐๐๐
